Directors’ & Officers’ liability insurance
D&O insurance protects the directors and officers and employees of companies against claims arising out of their management activities. With the multi-jurisdictional nature of business today and the ever present threat of regulatory investigations into the conduct of a company or its management, D&O insurance is an essential protection.
Although allegations made against a company’s management may be unfounded, the board would need to defend themselves against these allegations. The cost of defence can be substantial and whilst companies often back their management and advance defence costs, and is often not possible and does not always occur (even where permitted). Therefore a D&O insurance policy offers key personal protection for the directors and officers.
Free Health Check service: An advanced health check of your existing policy can address any issues found within wordings and the contract formation process. Our health check service is designed to ensure a potential claim is properly addressed by your current policy and the coverage best meets your needs.
Crime insurance: Provides balance sheet protection and loss review services in the event that your company is the victim of fraud or dishonesty by company employees and depending on policy form, third parties.
Pension Trustee Liability insurance: Pension trustees have an onerous duty when discharging their obligations to the trust and its members. The liabilities that can flow from these duties attach not only whilst trustees serve, but also at the point where the scheme members make a claim – commonly on retirement or exit. This creates very long-term (if not lifetime) exposure and structuring appropriate insurances can mitigate the burden on trustees. Employment Practices Liability insurance: Covers companies against claims or lawsuits filed by staff, former employees and employment candidates regarding their working relationship with an employer.
