We appointed JLT’s Real Estate team to act as our insurance broker in July 2015. We have been particularly impressed with the team and their level of expertise, thorough understanding of the uniqueness of our and JLT’s attention to detail. I am pleased to report that the JLT senior team is very visible to me and my colleagues and they have been instrumental in improving our insurance programme and the advice we receive.
I can also confirm that at renewal the process, including dialogue with our external managing agent, was handled efficiently and effectively and any appropriate matters escalated to me in a timely fashion. We are confident in JLT’s ability to maintain their excellent service.

Strong claims capabilities
We appointed JLT as our insurance broker in august 2014. We are delighted with the quality and speed of their services as well as the depth of their advice across all insurance classes. Dean Gallagher has been our JLT client director since January 2015 and he has been a key factor in JLT delivering on their promises of service excellence. JLT have also provided reasonably regular training seminars on various insurance types and classes.

Easy to use client portals
For the first time I feel we are dealing with a broker that truly understands our business and, indeed, understands the wider property management sector. Our new web based portal removes all the documentation issues we have faced in the past and ensures that we are able to deliver in a timely manner, saving a vast amount of time not only for me but for my team.

As part of their service delivery to our investors and our property owning clients, JLT has the responsibility for handling premium and cover queries emanating from occupiers.
This is an area where we have seen an increase in activity, particularly where occupiers engage with ‘Insurance Consultants’ to question recharge costs.
JLT have established an agreed form of protocol in how to handle such matters, always remaining sensitive to tenant relationships, while being able to clearly demonstrate the competitiveness of premiums charged under our insurance arrangements.
Engaging with JLT in this way provides an efficient method of managing the inevitable queries that arise, from both occupiers and their representatives, removing the burden from us as a business, while still providing us with management oversight, to ensure that strong occupier relationships are maintained.
